         The state-owned National Electronics and Computer Technology Center (Nectec) has successfully developed a website called www.traffy.nectec.or.th to help motorists plan their travel directions and avoid traffic congestion free of charge.

         The website allows motorist to use any type of internet-based computer to monitor traffic conditions by showing them on computer screen in the form of a map of roads in 3 colours i.e. red colour means very heavy traffic routes which motorists should avoid to travel to.

         Most interestingly, the website is accessible by hand-held mobile phone while being on street.
So, its significant role is to provide motorists with latest technology to update themselves the traffic status of roads ahead and other connecting areas on a real time basis, thus enabling motorists to choose the best route or avoid a traffic chaos so that they can shorten their traveling time.
